Dr. Cornelia Wellens studied Landscape Ecology and Law in Münster. Her first degree course gave her focus on planning and environmental law.
Prior to joining CBH, she worked as a research assistant at the Central Institute for Spatial Planning at the University of Münster, where she worked on planning law issues scientifically and in advising municipalities.
She advises on all legal questions that arise on the way to the creation of building law. She accompanies investors in the process of drawing up development plans, for example for residential areas. Legal project development and the legal management of conflicts of use, for example through emissions, are part of her field of activity. She also advises on planning law issues in retail development. She is also CBH's specialist in nature conservation law, including the areas of species protection, protected areas and impact regulation.
