Dr. Maik Kirchner studied law at the University of Cologne. After that he worked as a managing research assistant at the Institute for Energy Law at the University of Cologne. Dr. Maik Kirchner completed his legal clerkship at the Regional Court of Cologne with stations at the Foreign Office in Bangkok, a banking law chamber of the Regional Court of Cologne and a large business law firm. Dr. Maik Kirchner wrote his doctoral thesis in the area of stock exchange law, with a focus on stock exchange supervisory law. In this context, his activities focus on banking and stock exchange supervision law as well as stock exchange organization law. In addition, he represents savings banks, banks, insurance companies and investment brokers in all questions of banking and banking supervisory law.
