Dr. Thomas Ritter studied law at the Eberhard-Karls-University of Tübingen and the Free University of Berlin as well as music (violoncello) in Stuttgart and at the Hochschule der Künste Berlin.
After passing his second state examination in 1997 and earning his doctorate in energy law, he worked as a research assistant at the law firm Oppenhoff & Rädler in Berlin and was employed by Daimler-Benz Interservices (debis), Personnel Policy Department in Berlin.
Since his admission to the bar in 1998, he has been working as a partner - most recently until 2017 Heinz & Dr. Ritter International Legal Services - advising and litigating up to auditing bodies. He has been a lawyer with CBH since 2017.
Dr. Thomas Ritter advises companies on forensic and human resources matters and advises employers on all questions of collective and individual employment law. A special feature of his work for many years for hospitals and church enterprises and the solution of the specific, above all legal problems arising for them in the area of MAVO and MVG or BAT/TVöD. Dr. Thomas Ritter's work also focuses on construction law and public law mandates in the areas of water board law and subsidy law.
Dr. Thomas Ritter is a member of the Arbeitsgemeinschaft Arbeitsrecht as well as tenancy law and real estate in the German Bar Association and the German Institution of Arbitration (DIS). He is a scholar of the Studienstiftung Cusanuswerk and a member of the BKU.
He is co-editor of the "Beck’sche Formularbuch für die Anwaltskanzlei", co-author of the "Beck’schen Formularbuch für die Anwaltskanzlei", co-author of the "Beck Anwaltshandbuch Aktienrecht" ("Beck's Law on the Form Book for the Law Firm"), co-author of the "Reichold/Kortstock","Das Arbeits- und Tarifrecht der Katholischen Kirche", as well as the author of numerous specialist publications and seminar and moderation activities, among others.
