Laura Delpy studied law at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-University Bonn and at the Ludwig-Maximilians-University Munich.
She laid the foundation for her specialization in the field of intellectual property rights during her studies by choosing the focus area "Competition Law, Intellectual Property and Media Law". In addition, she deepened her knowledge in this area by working in two law firms in Munich focussing on the protection of intellectual property rights in trademark law as well as copyright and media law.
She completed her legal clerkship at the District Court of Düsseldorf with stations in law firms in Düsseldorf, Munich and Spain. During her legal clerkship, Laura Delpy worked for a law firm in Düsseldorf specialising in intellectual property law, including trademark, competition and patent law. In addition, she has also broadened her experience in this field by training in the civil chamber of the Düsseldorf District Court, which is responsible for matters relating to naming and trademark law as well as unfair competition.
After completing her legal clerkship, Laura Delpy also completed the specialist training course "Intellectual Property" and worked as a research associate in an IP boutique in Düsseldorf in trademark, competition and copyright law.
Laura Delpy has been a member of CBH's Intellectual Property and Media Practice Group since 2014. Her practice focuses on national and European trademark and trademark law as well as competition law. She advises domestic and foreign companies, in particular in court and out-of-court competition and trademark infringement disputes as well as in trademark registration and cancellation proceedings. In addition to her work as a lawyer, Laura Delpy publishes articles on various topics of intellectual property. She is a member of the German Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property and Copyright Law. (GRUR).
